2006 Detroit Tigers League Championship Ring

The 2006 Detroit Tigers American League Championship Ring is a commemorative piece awarded to players, coaches, and staff following the team’s victory in the ALCS, marking their first pennant since 1984. This achievement was particularly notable as the Tigers swept the Oakland Athletics in the ALCS before advancing to the World Series, where they were ultimately defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals.

  •   Left Shank: Displays the year “2006” above the American League Championshipophy.
  •   Right Shank: Bears the recipient’s name and a figural tiger logo, symbolizing the team’s mascot.
  •  A ring from the Al Kaline Collection, issued to a special assistant to the Tigers’ president, was sold at Heritage Auctions in 2021.
  • A ring presented to minor league pitching coach Marcos Aguasvivas was also sold at Heritage Auctions in 2023.

The top showcases the iconic Detroit “D” logo in blue, surrounded by diamonds, with “American League Champions” inscribed around the perimeter.
